The World According to Humphrey
By: Betty Birney
Welcome to wonderful world of Humphrey-the greatest classroom pet! Get ready for the heartfelt journey of a little hamster with a big personality. Take some time to check out all the resources available to you during our month long Humphrey extravaganza and as Humphrey would say let's READ READ READ!
Thank you for reading The World According to Humphrey with your children each night! All of the students at Talahi were very excited about Humphrey and really enjoyed the story. If your family would like to read more Humphrey books, we have many more of Humphrey's adventures in the library that are available to check out!

Our Talahi Roll and Read Summer Book Bus was a huge success! Our book bus ran for eight weeks this summer. Each week we checked out to around 125 children and averaged 300 books a week! How wonderful! We couldn't have done it without our amazing Talahi staff members who volunteered their time to help this very important cause. Keep reading!
Big News at Talahi!
Talahi is excited to announce that we have received the Coretta Scott King Book Donation Grant! This is so special because only 3 schools in the nation received this honor. Talahi will receive more than 100 books submitted to the 2013 Coretta Scott King Book Awards including a full set of the 2013 winner and honor titles. The Talahi staff and students are extremely thankful to Grandpa John, who used his expertise to write this winning grant for our school.
Thank you, Grandpa John!
