Math Corp and Reading Corp tutors needed
Tutors not only change the world of kids who are struggling in school, they experience professional and personal growth. Tutors help kids become successful readers by the end of third grade or proficient in math by the end of eighth grade, by implementing research-based strategies. As a tutor, you'll earn a living allowance of $484 biweekly and an Education award of $5,550. Other benefits are available if eligible.
Minnesota Reading Corps-the nation's largest state AmeriCorps program and its sister program Minnesota Math Corps are looking to filling positions within the St. Cloud Area School District. Click here for more information.

If you need a background check, the cost is $20 and it is good for 3 years. Turn it in soon, as they take some time to get back to the district.
Kennedy Community School Named Among First-Ever U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, together with White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson, announced today (April 23rd, 2012) that Kennedy Community School is among 78 schools named U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools. MN is among 29 states and D.C. with schools receiving the first-ever awards.
Kennedy School Receives USGBC Gold Certificaton
The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded St. Cloud Area School District 742's Kennedy Community School in St. Joseph, MN, with a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Schools (LEED) certification at the GOLD level. News Release

The US Green Building Council--Minnesota Chapter has produced a video that focuses on Kennedy Community School in Saint Joseph. The Green Council wants to use the video to promote green schools across the region. Parents, students, and staff share their views on the importance of going green.
